WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits

The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits is an advanced course providing core knowledge of the vast amount of wines and spirits around the world.  This course covers an in-depth exploration beyond basic information delving into main wine regions, viticulture, vinification and tasting techniques.  This course will equip the student with the skills in describing the characteristics of the principle wines and spirits of the world and explaining key factors accounting for those characteristics.

The exam includes multiple choice and short answer questions, as well as a blind tasting of two wines.  WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits is required of applicants for the Diploma course.

  • Sparkling and Fortified Wines: Sparking, Port, Madeira, Sherry and other fortified
  • Sprits and Liqueurs: Distillation, tasting, brandy, whiskies, rum, tequila, gin, vodka and liqueurs

An instructor from the WSET® leads the course, which includes five weekly, interactive classes. Successful candidates receive the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits.
